General Tutorial on Adhesives and Bonding of Plastics and other Materials

Hi folks, here is the first of a multipart series on bonding plastics and working with your 3D prints, models and prototypes. This is the basic introduction into different types of adhesives, the pros and cons, and how to use them. This video is more of an overview rather than a scientific paper or strength comparison type of video, of which you can find many already on line. this video covers: Super Glue CA and accelerators, Epoxies, Solvents, Cements I am sharing some of my own practical and proven tips and tricks, and hope you enjoy them. FYI- I have spent many years as professional prototype and special effect builder (pre-3D printing era) and for the last 18 years have had an award winning product design consultancy. I use 3D printing and my workshop to elaborate ideas, get a hands on approach to problem solving, and sometimes to produce final prototypes. In my next videos I intend on giving some insights into gluing flexible filaments, as well as PLA, ABS, and PETG. In the one after that I am planning on showing best techniques for repairing prints, filling spots, smoothing layer lines and painting.
