One killed, one injured in attack by group in Mawlai Mawroh

A non-indigenous construction worker identified as Arjun Rai (52) was killed and another severely injured after a group of youth attacked them without provocation at a construction site in Mawlai Mawroh in the city on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Nongmynsong. The grievously injured man has been admitted to NEIGRIHMS. In this connection, a case is being registered and investigation is under progress to nab the culprits. This is the second fatal incident in Meghalaya in last 15 days. At Ichamati, two non-indigenous persons were killed over anti-CAA protest last month.
