Legalism is worse than adultery

Through the incident of the woman caught in adultery in John 8:1-11, Jesus shows us how a judgemental legalistic attitude is worse than adultery. But Jesus does not give licence to adultery, but corrects with utmost mercy and compassion. For he who accuses others has the same spirit of the devil who is accuser of the brethren.
