How to "Remaster" Playstation Games using DuckStation - The Best PS1 Emulator

UPDATE! For those who have downloaded a recent build and cannot find the Antialiasing option, it is now under ADVANCED SETTINGS instead of Enhancement Settings. DuckStation emulator is probably the best Playstation emulator I've put my hands on. This is because it allows you to expand on the limitations of the original hardware through PGXP which fixes the polygon wobble, while still giving you the option to downsample. These options would result in your PS1 games looking like they were HD remastered but still eerily close to the original - without the imperfections. It's a win-win situation IMO. I know some of you may find my final settings to be very blurry. Personally, I like it because a very high resolution would make the unchangeable dated textures stand out. This way, the downsampled look preserves the integrity of the original games and removes aliasing along with other crippling polygons. You can also choose 8x supersampling (SSAA) as your antialiasing option and select 3x internal resolution (720p) for a clearer "vanilla" look. Or you can just settle to 4k with PGXP. What's important is you're enjoying the games. Timestamps: 0:00 - Intro 0:23 - What we normally do when emulating games 0:48 - Fix that wobble 1:40 - Native vs. 4k with PGXP 2:00 - Restore the classic look but retain the fixes 2:52 - Enable widescreen support to all your games! My Setup: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: Sapphire Nitro Plus 5700XT RAM: Crucial Ballistix RGB 32GB 3600mhz Drive: ADATA SX8200 1TB NVME If you found me interesting for some reason, you can follow me using these links: WordPress: https://matthewscouch.wordpress.com/ Facebook:   / matthew.siloterio   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doeclapton/...
