Street Fighter EX2 Plus [PS1] - play as Hayate

This is a play-through using Hayate in the PS1 version of Street Fighter EX2 Plus. Read on below for more information... Hayate is a hidden character in this game. He is an unlockable playable character. ===== ABOUT HAYATE ===== He is a Japanese swordsman from a village called the Kukunochi, and his father was a legendary hero who sealed the beast of Orochi. The Orochi demon however broke out from imprisonment and kidnaps the local shrine maiden, to which Hayate saves the day by slaying the demon like his father did. Hayate and the maiden then become the new guardian deities of the village as a result. Hayate is one of the more interesting designs of Street Fighter... for a start he is the only character in the franchise to use a sword (which he pulls out from nowhere) for specific moves, and he looks like he belongs in a Soul Calibur game rather than Street Fighter. Gameplay-wise, he is an excellent character to use. The moves which utilize his sword gives him a a long range of strike, and his Special Moves and Super Combos are all constructed to be easily cancelled and connected into one another. ===== HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? ===== It should be noted that Hayate was the only character from the original SFEX2 not to return in the arcade version of SFEX2P. The reason for this is unknown. Additionally, he is also the only character from the PS1 version of SFEX2P not to return in SFEX3. ===== About PS1 SFEX2P ===== This is one of the best fighting games on the PS1. Apart from the loading times and lower graphics quality, this is generally better than the arcade version, mainly because it has more features and modes. It uses a remixed AST soundtrack for it's music themes, but unfortunately it does not offer an option of using the original OST arcade tracks. The PS1 port also sees the return of the character Hayate, who mysteriously went missing for the arcade version.
