The webinar will focus on VALEM for GM-SYS 3D, a new hybrid gravity inversion approach for integrating gravity data with seismic data to model the base of salt. It will demonstrate how hybrid gravity inversion can help to improve exploration effectiveness in the subsalt by optimising the use of existing gravity data, constrained by seismic, to reduce uncertainty and produce an improved model for exploration. During the webinar, we will look at the step by step workflow to carry out a successful base of salt inversion in VALEM using a synthetic salt model. We will also look at some preliminary results from of a case study offshore Africa. Recorded on July 23, 2015
