The old rear end was a open differential with a 3.42 gear ratio. I wanted a posi rear and my parts truck actually had a good G80 locking diff with a 3.73 gear ratio. In Todays video I show you how to pull it out of a donor truck, clean up and swap to another. In the process I also change the rear differential fluid in the g80 and upgrade to a ta rear end cover. The TA or rear end cover is WAY more sturdy and looks SO MUCH better. This process is the Same on GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.....
