Witnessing the Magnificence of the Biggest Guru Rinpoche Statue of Dollu Monastery in Nepal Pharping, an ancient Newari town 19 km south of Kathmandu is believed to be established before 5th century. The Village is a harmonious blend of Hindu, Buddhist, and natural element. It is popular with both Hindu and Tibetan pilgrims. Various Buddhist monasteries and temples in and around town are certainly worth a visit. It also has the well-known Asura Cave or Guru Rinpoche Cave and the spectacular Vajra Yogini temple, devoted to a Tantric Buddhist goddess, as well as the famous Hindu temple of Dakshinkali, dedicated to the goddess Kali. Overlooking the scenery from a hilltop is the landmark of Dollu and Pharping stands giant statue 40 m tall of Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism.
