#offroading #watercrossing #tungareshwar One fine morning we decided to venture out to take some fresh air. One day holiday does not allow for a long distance trip as the next day is working. Thus taking into account the limited time available in hand and to fulfill the zest to explore some nearby place we as a family decided to visit Tungareshwar. Its in Palghar district in Vasai Taluka. Distance from Borivali (Mumbai) by road is 25kms.Tungareshwar is a wildlife sanctuary and has a Temple of Lord Shiva which is frequented by many pilgrims and visitors. We visited the same in our SCROSS. The terrain is 100% off-road and has some water crossings enroute the temple. We took our SCROSS through the offbeat terrain and the vehicle performed very well with 180mm of ground clearance and 200NM of torque @ 1750 rpm. Though a front wheel drive the SCROSS maneuvered through the terrain smoothly. This vlog is in two parts. Do watch the same and subscribe to the channel, if not done yet. Tungareshwar Shiva temple is visited by many people and is generally crowded on public holidays, Mondays, Weekends. The time for visit is from 7am to 6pm as being a part of the Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary the road is closed for civilian movement after 6pm. It has a lot of Wildlife and Leopard is one of the animals from the cat family which is found here, roaming free. The temple is 3.5kms from the tarmac road and there are auto rickshaw services available at Rs. 50/- per head if one does not have own vehicle. There are three water crossings which are generally flooded during monsoon season and one needs to be careful. Tungareshwar is a hilly area so weather is pleasant during morning, evening and night time. Motorcycles and Cars can be driven till the temple parking area.
