In this 8:47 video I show you how to properly disinfect your brushes at home, so you are free from germs, and your tools will look just like new !! These are the same steps I follow at the salon to keep my clients safe from germs & illness. I recommend cleaning your tools, at least once a month.  Supplies: •Brushes & combs that need to be cleaned •Scissors •Pedicure brush (buy at beauty supply store) •Dish soap •2 clean towels (for final dry: step 4) •Timer for 10:00 minutes •Brush cleaner or another comb to remove shed hair •2 -3 buckets with lids one for Pre-wash, one for Quats & one for clean combs & brushes •Gloves •Quats •1/2 Cup measure Steps: 1/ Remove all shed hair from brushes 2/ Pre-wash 10:00 minutes 3/ *Quats (Quaternary Ammonium Compounds) 10:00 minutes 4/ Final Dry 5/ Clean brushes in clean container are READY for use! Time Code: 03:00 The chemical used in this video kills blood borne pathogens, when you clean your brushes with this product using the steps I suggest, your brushes are considered: 'properly disinfected'. At no time in this video am I saying you can catch HIV/Aids from using a hair brush. I am merely stating that Quaternary Ammonium Compounds, can kill blood borne pathogens in any setting.
