There are various types of Rod or tubes we can use to make a pivot or a winder for a moving lever crane. The winder is the Rod which has the string attached. When we turn the Rod it winds up the string and moves the lever arm or jib of the crane. The Rod holding the lever arm or jib in place attached to the top of the tower (the vertical foam piece sticking up from the base) is called the pivot. The job of the pivot is to hold the jib in position attached to the tower but still allowing the jib to lift up and down like a seesaw rising and falling.
