Learn MY GIRL by The Temptations - BEGINNER guitar lessons

In this guitar lesson I break down and demonstrate how to play My Girl by The Temptations. A classic song great to play on guitar. We are in the key of C using chords C F Dm G and for the last chorus we have transitioned to the key of D using chords D Em G A. I have included the bass line and recognisable guitar line for the Intro and Verses. We then play a simple 'down' strum rhythm for the choruses and middle 8. I have included tab and chord boxes. This song is suitable for beginners and all guitar levels with some challenges. Any new guitarists my find the chord/bass line changes challenging but the repetition and simple song structure will help with practise. If this is too challenging it is possible to play the Verses just playing the bass line demonstrated and add in the chords when ready. Enjoy!
