EM’s New Video Series Tells the Stories of Individual Cleanup Workers WASHINGTON, D.C. – EM launched a new video series on its Facebook and YouTube sites today taking viewers inside the activities of individual workers as they share their accomplishments and perspectives. EM’s cleanup story is portrayed through the lens of workers in the “Day in the Life” videos, which will be released every other Thursday. The hashtag for the series is #dayinthelife. EM rolled out the first documentary-style video in the series today, and it stars a Richland Operations Office radiological control technician at the Hanford Site. Keep an eye out for videos of other workers around the complex on the Facebook and YouTube sites every other week. EM expanded its social media presence this year after debuting on Facebook in late May, documenting the program’s cleanup progress, history and workforce. Special theme days are marked by the hashtags #TeardownTuesday, #WildlifeWednesday and #FlashbackFriday. Also this year, EM launched its publicly accessible YouTube playlist, sharing footage of cleanup accomplishments across the EM complex. The playlist features more than 66 videos, from an overview of the Savannah River Site's (SRS) mission to a congratulatory message from several local, state and federal officials to EM’s Oak Ridge program on completing cleanup at the East Tennessee Technology Park. The public also can view EM photos on flickr.
