Welcome to this new MODIFICATION VIDEO. This time we deal with a already wonderfully restored CESSNA 172RG CUTLASS. This aircraft is former Portuguese registred and now Polish EASA registred. It has been taken through various modifications already. The exterior and interior are fabulous. Only the panel we would radically change to G3X TOUCH suite with all the goodies that you are already accustomed to from our former videos. Now we will also deal with other modifications. What is surprising is that there are no ENGINE UPGRADES like there are for other aircraft and we mention another issue with this type of aircraft concerning precisely that. Why is it that a CESSNA F172J HAWK XP has a 210 hp engine and it is a fixed gear and they left the 172RG - precisely a RETRACTABLE GEAR aircraft - stuck with a 180 hp engine. The same question can be made about the PIPER ARROW compared to the fixed gear PIPER DAKOTA. Exactly the same case. We believe the CUTLASS RG deserves an engine upgrade.
