The final time is actually about 1:15.766, an estimate based on frame counting, so it may vary a little. I counted 46 frames at 60fps from the timer hitting 1:15 to the UI disappearing. The game would have given me a true measurement but since the leaderboards don't work I have to estimate. A real shame that there seemingly can't be a competition without a bug lately, but the race itself was fun to optimise if only for the fact that retrying takes like 5 seconds instead of 30. To answer the obvious question: that is Surging Impulse that lets me fly in any direction so long as I have a valid target. While it is a very useful PA for cutting vertically, it is slower than running horizontally, so the time saves came in minimising the amount of Surging Impulses I used. I probably have cleared in 1:15 about 10 times, within the same 200 millisecond window, trying in vain to break into 1:14. I cannot think of any more optimisations at this point. Everything is exact to the point that my runs that succeed are all landing in a very narrow window. It's more about thinking of route optimisations rather than execution, of which I can't think of any more (I once thought 1:18 was the limit, for reference). My decision to use wa/bo instead of fo/bo was to beat the yokai block cycle at 28 seconds, where the only way to do so was to use Wulfen Raid twice. I also have such a comically large PP bar that I can ration out PA usage generously to the point that having infinite PP with fo/bo wouldn't do much more for me. With how badly fucked the in-game leaderboards are (you can see at the end it thinks my best time is still 1:26), and the fact that this route demands so much in mechanical skill, equipment investment, and add-on levels, I'm okay with uploading early. I'd actually like to see a 1:14 happen.
