I show you the secret of how you can embed a video in an email. It will work on Outlook, Gmail, or whatever email client you use. #gmailtips #gmailtrick #gmailhack Hey! I'm Deanna Fenton and welcome to this week's Simple Steps to Online Success. How can I get a video to play in an email? To my knowledge, you can't do it. At least not with all the tools that most of us are using for our online marketing. You cannot have a video play in the email. But I'm going to show you the tricks that these influencers are using that actually make people think that they are doing that. Donald Miller. Those of you who follow Story Brand, know um he is a consummate marketer. He is an expert and he sends out daily emails called, "Business Made Simple Daily." These come into my inbox every single morning and you can see right here it kind of looks like well, wow! if I just clicked on that it might actually play a video but you also see down here, he has a little button that says, watch the video. So what does Donald Miller do? He simply takes a screenshot of the video, he puts it, puts on a play button over that image and you can also see he's got like kind of a little overlay there. And when I click on it that image simply takes me to a landing page where I can play his video. Another example, so this is one, an example where I saw people adamantly insist that Amy Porterfield sent out and people swore up and down that this was a video playing in their email. But it wasn't, it was actually a link to the full video right here. So what you're able to do is use this free tool called, Giphy, however you like it. You can click, you make a free account. You create a GIF or GIF Maker and you can use a photo, you can actually add multiple images to create like a slideshow. In my case I shot a 60 second video. and then I can choose the duration. It has to be less than 60 seconds or excuse me, 10 seconds. So I want it to run for eight seconds and I want it to start at one second. And it will continue to loop. I can continue to decorate, I can add some text to it I can enter a caption but I'm just going to click to upload. And I'm going to upload it. Now to download it, I just say save image as.... I've downloaded it. Again in Kajabi or any email service provider I'm going to delete this one and show you. You simply click, upload image and choose that file. Open.... And now when you send this email out the GIF will play and will loop over and over again within the email. When bom bomb was first mentioned to me, they said, oh you send the video in an email. No you don't. You do exactly all these tricks that I've just shown you. Bomb Bomb just does it all for you. Again one of the advantages I do see is that you can actually create it within your email. So let me I'm going to show you how it looks but I'm going to show you how it looks in Gmail and I, I'm not clear if it works in a number of email clients but it works fabulously in Gmail. And what you do is you add Bomb Bomb as an extension to your Gmail account. And if you click on it you can create scheduled emails, you have options, there's tracking, so for example if somebody opened a Bomb Bomb email that you sent out, it will show you that they were sent. So there's tracking and you can always close that. It gives you your stats on people opening them and then you can just go ahead and create one.
