Living on the Big Island of Hawaii in the Puna district...is different.

If you're thinking about moving to Hawaii - and especially living on the East side of the Big Island - you’ll be better prepared if you learn a few things that most of the realtors and influencers and vloggers might not mention.. but I will. Because life in the Puna district is different than any other place I've ever lived. I'm not saying it's better or worse.. it's just...different, and so if you do move here, you're going to need to know some things. I have heard back from a number of islanders that my observations here are accurate..so in a manner of speaking, this has been vetted. For better or for worse this format is a slideshow of random snapshots - basically just a podcast with photos - so feel free to listen to this in the background while you do other things. My apologies for the abrupt ending; the last 20 seconds got cut off. The only thing you missed was me suggesting these excellent sources for more information:   / moving     / visitinghawaii     / bigisland     / hawaii   Update: Over 82,000 views and I'm just astounded. I wasn't even thinking about views when I made this..if I had known more than 100 people were going to actually watch this I would have definitely improved the production quality and narration..I would have talked slower, and added some more things.. but then this would have been probably too long. The comment section below is disabled because some of my opinions and observations and remarks and facts I know are going to trigger some sensitive folks in like a dozen different ways and I don't want internet strangers to hijack my comment section as a forum to spout their random idiotic anti-intellectual and anti-science and anti-tourist sentiments, or to somehow defend the indefensible Hawaiian cultural practice of dumping old cars next to roads and then setting them on fire...yeah, you'll see what I mean on reddit. 😉 See also:    • HAWAII 🇺🇸   and:    • Hawaii's Logistics Problem
