What is service export? When any foreign client gets services from you directly or using any platform (Fiver, Upwork.), that amount is considered under services export. Required Documents for Registration with PSEB: NTN number to get NTN number (Contact at 0303-4373076) Scanned CNIC front & back Bank account maintenance letter To get registered as a freelancer, you must create your portfolio on the PSEB portal. Open portal on pseb.org.pk Click on the "Registration" → "New Registration" tab on top. On the new page, click on "Proceed" under freelancer registration Click on "New Application" on the button left. Enter your valid phone number & email. You will get OPT on email, then set your password. Fill in all the mandatory fields in the form Upload applicable documents (CNIC, NTN & Bank Certificate) and submit for initial approval (submission with missing mandatory information may be declined). After getting initial PSEB approval, it usually takes about 2-5 working days to process and issue the certificate To get yourself registered on PSEB, click here. No fee to get registered as a freelancer till 30th June 2022. BENEFITS TO FREELANCERS 1. Access to PSEB programs and initiatives, including free and subsidized trainings, certifications, access to ICT graduate interns for free, subsidized office space at Software Technology Parks (STPs), access to international marketing and matchmaking opportunities. 2. Facilitation Desk at PSEB to report and seek assistance in resolution of issues related to taxation, banking, Intellectual Property rights, IP Whitelisting or any other matters related to Government bodies. 3. 20% discount from SECP on SMC (Pvt) Ltd registration. 4. Loans at favorable rates up to Rs. 1 million as part of clean lending under govt. Initiative and program for PSEB registered Freelancer Health coverage and life insurance for Freelancers under some govt. Initiative or program. 5. Tech Travel card (upcoming initiative) to be issued to Freelancers with record of minimum three years of IT & ITeS export remittances exceeding US $5,000 per annum through formal banking channels. 6. IT & ITeS export income to be tax exempt for PSEB registered Freelancers that are receiving export remittances through formal banking channels and being reported in purpose codes assigned by the State Bank of Pakistan for IT & ITeS (IT Enabled Services) sector.
