Should You Avoid Snaps, Flatpaks, & AppImages?

These Linux packaging formats like Snap, Flatpak, and AppImage are designed to make packaging applications easier on devs and end users. So if you have been wondering whether or not you should be using them. This video is for you. I want to talk about some of the problems that I have with them. Mainly just being on the end user side, there can be problems with things like Flatpak that a user might not experience with the application from their package manager. They can end up complicating a users life instead of making it easier. Now with all of that being said there's still plenty of reasons to use them and there's plenty of new users where these packaging formats have done what they were intended to do.. Make your life easier. My point is that I don't like using them and recommending them only because I am worried about introducing more issues into the mix.
