Approach Road Inaugurated in Tuensang Village by MLA Imtichoba Chang

The construction of a new approach road at Palak Sangpayou in Tuensang village was inaugurated by Imtichoba, MLA of 54 A/C Tuensang Sadar-II, on August 17. The road is set to enhance connectivity between nearby villages under the Chang jurisdiction, including Kejok, Konya, C/Saddle, Chingmei, Waoshu, Yimpang, and Taknyu, providing a shorter route than previously available. During the inauguration, Imtichoba shared that the road was part of his vision for the region, stating, “This approach road is for everyone.” He also announced that maintenance approval has been secured, with work expected to commence by December. The MLA further expressed plans to extend road connectivity between Konya and Kejok villages, emphasizing the broader benefits to districts like Noklak, Shamator, and particularly the Chingmei village area. “Man proposes, and God disposes. Everything is according to the will of God,” Imtichoba remarked, urging continued community support for future development projects. The road was dedicated with the unveiling of a monolith, followed by a prayer led by Rev. T. Mongba, Pastor of Tuensang Sang Baptist Lashong (TSBL). Koma Yangbou, Chairman of the Village Council C/Khel, acknowledged the significance of the project, stating, “The MLA has constructed and opened the road for us, and now it is our responsibility to take care of it.” Similarly, N. Kaimang, Chairman of the Village Council K/Khel, expressed that one of his long-desired dreams had been fulfilled with the road's completion. Deputy Commissioner Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, who was also present, noted the rapid pace of recent developments in the area, attributing them to the strong community support for their elected leaders. She pointed out the disparity between the well-maintained roads leading to the town from other districts and the deteriorating conditions within the town itself. “The roads that lead to our town are quite good, but once they enter, they are in deplorable condition,” Rutsa said. She urged the community to seize this opportunity to improve infrastructure, emphasizing that better roads are crucial for economic development, quicker access during medical emergencies, and overall progress. Rutsa also expressed optimism about the planned road linkage from Kejok to Konya. The program was led by N. Ajong, General Secretary of the Village Council K/Khel, with the invocation pronounced by N. Ebou, Deacon of TSBL. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from W. Wangku, Citizen President of K/Khel, and a benediction by Beso Aluju, Deacon of TSBL.
