The Start of a Writing Career. The genesis of my writing career began with a request to do a short presentation at Gettysburg National Battlefield. Assigned Major General Winfield Scott Hancock as my topic, the story was so intriguing it became a four-year, two-volume novel of Hancock’s life written as historical fiction. There was enough biographical information on the general, but no one asked “what if” when studying Hancock’s daily interaction with people on and off the battlefields throughout his life. Historical fiction provided the way ahead. The result was “Rebellion” and Turning Point” both released in 2019. #Author #TrueBattlefieldStories
