This series covers some of the best audiophile vinyl records I've come across CORRECTION: I mistakenly referenced an edition by Speaker's Corner. There is no Speakers Corner edition. I meant to say the Analogue Productions edition. Sorry for the error but the video was in production before I caught it! In this new series, I will be bringing your attention to records that have truly made a lasting impact on me. The series features personal favorites which in my opinion check all the boxes as far as consistently great material, superb performances and impeccable sound. There will be titles from all genres of music - hopefully you'll discover something you may not have considered before, and be moved to try what I consider my 'desert island discs' or 'records to die for'. This will be really enjoyable for me, as there is no pressure to review the latest and greatest. Instead I get to reacquaint myself with these treasures and bring my genuine love and enthusiasm for them to you. I kick the series off with a record that really got my attention when i was auditioning my new phono preamp, the Modwright PH 9.0. Belafonte Sings The Blues - Classic Records 45rpm edition mastered by Bernie Grundman is the version reviewed here, but there are other editions available from both Impex and Analogue Productions, as well as the superb original RCA Living Stereo The currently available edition is from Analogue Productions.
