Besonderer Dank gilt an dieser Stelle Joschi Schneeberger, der diesen Event organisiert und damit überhaupt erst möglich gemacht hat. Das Jazzland durfte wegen der aktuellen Corona Bestimmungen zu diesem Zeitpunkt gerade mal 60 Besucher aufnehmen. Bireli erzählte mir dann auch gleich am ersten Abend, wie gut es ihm täte, wieder vor Publikum zu spielen. Diese drei - komplett ungeprobten - Konzerte fanden also in einem recht intimen Rahmen statt und die Abende hatten etwas Magisches, da es sowohl für die Musiker, als auch für mich und große Teile des Publikums wieder die ersten Live-Events seit langem waren. Die Band war großartig und Bireli war einfach unglaublich; dazu noch sehr gut gelaunt und mit großartigem Spielwitz auf höchstem Niveau. Das waren drei ganz besondere Abende. Bireli played three - completely unrehearsed - concerts in Jazzland in Vienna from 25-27.052021 with my dear friends and musical companions Joschi Schneeberger, Martin Spitzer and Joris Dudli. Special thanks go to Joschi Schneeberger, who organized this event and made it possible in the first place. Due to the current Corona regulations, the Club was only allowed to accept 60 visitors at this time. Bireli told me on the first evening how good it would be to play in front of an audience again. These three - completely unrehearsed - concerts took place in a rather intimate setting and the evenings had something magical, as they were the first live events for a long time for the musicians as well as for me and large parts of the audience. The band was really great and Bireli was just amazing. In a very good mood and with a great wit he entertained us one of the most extraordinary musicians of these days at the highest level.
