During my stay in Bali, I knew I wanted to do something good for my body and mind. Waking up in the rice fields and joining the morning yoga classes in Ubud Yoga house was something I visualized before even coming here. I did not know what to expect but it turned out to be even better than my visualization. The friendly and happy vibe that I received visiting this place made my stay here feeling like a true home. I really enjoyed my first class of yoga for beginners with Ketut. I felt so good in my body after the class that I was inspired to do it almost every day. I meet so many wonderful people there and always enjoy hanging out in the common space area before or after yoga just talking with people and exchanging insights and feelings about this magical place. The founder Sheila Burch first came to Ubud in 1985 while backpacking through Asia as part of a two year trip around the world, and in 2013 she moved permanently to Ubud, Bali, and opened the Ubud Yoga House. She told me the story of how it all started and how she used to teach the yoga class even if there was only one person who came for the class. She had a vision and a dream and she made it happen. I am so happy when I hear stories like that. It’s the proof for me that when you are doing something with your heart and it’s good for the planet and people, the universe will help you to make it happen. Well I can speak about it the whole day, but I will rather share with you the video I made about the Ubud Yoga house from my perspective, and you can feel this place on your own.
