Kandy to Nuwara Eliya journey by road is one of the most scenic and breathtaking journeys in Sri Lanka. A once-in-a-lifetime experience for every solo traveler and tourist alike, this prompted me to spend Rs. 1000 extra and book an entire Tuk Tuk instead of taking a bus. On the way to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy, I got to see many waterfalls, including the majestic Bomburu Ella waterfall, and picturesque tea gardens. We happened to cross through the settlements of the Indian-Tamil community in Sri Lanka. I also tried my hands at driving a tuk-tuk on the hilly terrain, navigating through the hairpin bends while enjoying the scenic views. But was it worth spending extra money?
