History of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur is very inspiring for the youth of India and Punjab. At age 15 he left home to become a Hindu ascetic and has been given the title `'Madho Das". He established a monastery in Nānded, on the bank of the lake Godāvarī, in which in September 1708 he was seen , also eventually became a disciple of, Guru Gobind Singh, that gave him his new name of Banda Bahadur. He arrived to Khanda in Sonipat and built a fighting force and headed the battle against the Mughal Empire. His first key activity was the sacking of their Mughal provincial funding, Samana, at November 1709. After establishing his jurisdiction and Khalsa rule in Punjab, Banda Singh Bahadur abolished the zamindari system and awarded land rights to the tillers of the property. Banda Singh was seized by the Mughals and tortured to death at 1715-1716.
