Phoenix Strike with DPS + Utility Focus! Hybrid Lightning + Fire + Physical. We skip out on the Blades of Ice synergy to pick up Shadow Master and Cobra Strike for better utility, and recovery. Crescent Moon and Griffon's support our Lightning. Phoenix Shield supports our Fire / Physical. We pick up Gore Riders (upped) to assist our physical / Single Target. I've also opted for Fade for more DR% and MF%, while retaining +Skills. Can handle any immune, which feels great! ~4.5m Cows P7, ~4.5m Baal P7. Phoenix Strike + Shadow Master: https://d2.maxroll.gg/d2planner-ptr/4... We attempt to only release a two charge phoenix strike when possible to maximize dps. This will also create more corpses for our Redemption aura to consume. We use the Chaos Ice bolts from phoenix strike Freeze and the holy freeze merc for CC. Holy Freeze is still required here because we are not max block, and are still vulnerable to aura and curse enabled elites. Overall I enjoy this variation quite a lot. The redemption aura and flexibility to use a higher level cobra strike when in need feel great for keeping life and mana steady (with less need for potion spam). Similarly, the Shadow master is great because she synergizes her own abilities (as compared to the shadow warrior, which you must manually synergize her abilities with) and actually ends up doing pretty good dps, tanking, and support. She also casts mind blast herself, which saves you from having to cast (allows more Phoenix strike dps). Note that Crescent moon rolls with Static on hit, but bosses currently on PTR are not affected by static. Boss kill speed should improve. ----- The core build maxes Fists of Fire, Claws of Thunder, and Phoenix Strike, 1pt dragon talon. 1 pts in shadow mastery down to Fade and Mind Blast. 20 pt. Shadow Master. At about level 85 and on I opted to place more points into Cobra Strike. It's possible a few points in Cobra while leveling might be a good option as well (just max Shadow master slightly later in leveling). Instead of opting for max block I went for higher VIT in this test. The higher Health felt great in combination with the higher level Cobra Strike (to restore said health). Gear wise make sure you upgrade your boots as this increases physical dps from your kicks significantly.
