What is the right way to talk about suicide? Discussing the do’s and don'ts of suicide prevention and postvention on an individual and a community level. Amy Sloan is a student and lead volunteer at the Oregon YouthLine, a teen-to-teen crisis helpline. She is interested in mental health advocacy. Amy is a senior at Wilson High School, and will be attending the University of Oregon this fall. This talk was delivered on June 9, 2019 at the first-ever TEDxYouth@Camas event. The 2019 event theme - Seeing the Invisible - focused on bringing attention to the ideas, stories, and communities that are often overlooked in life.
