Submarine steel is characterised not just by extreme solidity and its non-magnetic quality, but additionally by its unique high level of corrosion resistance even when used in sea water for long periods. At the same time, submarine steel is extremely crack-resistant due to its ductility (special material flexibility under load). The bezel, crown and case-back are all made from Damasko's submarine steel. All stainless steel components are treated with an abrasion-proof black patented DAMEST Coating providing extreme resistance to scratches.
