be quiet! Silent Base 802 ATX Case Review - Awesome Performance... but Not Out of the Box!

In this video, I provide an in-depth review of the new Silent Base 802 from be quiet!, a successor and replacement for the 801 launched in 2018. It loads on a bunch of major upgrades, and comes in at a fair price given the premium features. Want to buy one? Here are the links! Critical note on test setup: I used direct fan connections, as I could not get the built-in fan controller to interface with my motherboard for precise fan control. As it turns out, you don't just need to configure the controller, you also need to configure your motherboard, in order for the system to work. Here's what's required: (1) The fan hub needs to connect to a PWM connector on the motherboard and be powered by SATA (2) 3-pin fans need to be connected to the fan hub (3) The slider at the front-IO needs to be set to "Auto“ (4) The motherboard fan control needs to be set to "PWM", not "Auto", as Auto detects these as DC, but the controller is actually converting PWM to DC to run the 3-pin fans.
