While speaking on J&K Assembly Elections, Harvinder Singh DM and DC Doda said that 41 candidates have filed nominations in total. He further said, “There are 16 candidates in Assembly Constituency 51 who have filed their nominations, 16 candidates in AC 52 and 9 candidates in AC 53 Doda West. In total, there are 41 candidates who have filed their nominations. Tomorrow, the scrutiny of the applications of these forms will be done and the day after tomorrow. The formal process of candidates coming and submitting their documents has been completed and on the basis of withdrawal and scrutiny, we would be able to get the final list of candidates...Political parties can start campaigning immediately, and in fact, after the announcement itself, many prospective candidates have started their campaigning and we have started booking their expenditures.
