One of MMCDC’s goals is to preserve the history of the Merrick-Moore community and its residents and pass it along to upcoming generations. This will provide the entire Durham community with a better understanding of MMCDC’s mission of protecting the legacy of our ancestors, and their experiences that led to an undeniable impact on Durham, which will never be forgotten. Paul Daye, a proud Merrick-Moore High graduate and former resident, shares his heartfelt memories of growing up in the Merrick-Moore community and the legacy of his family. His son, Darian, now a resident of the community, offers his perspective on continuing the family’s strong ties to Merrick-Moore.
