London Christmas lights double decker bus tour - the best parts

This is a very fun video that I've been holding onto since last year - not because I'm trying to be timely anything, but because my editing skills we not ready (until now-ish) for everything this video has to offer. The bus tour itself was billed as a 90-minute tour of all the best Christmas light displays in central London. With terrible traffic, it ended up being an absolutely frigid 3-hour journey to test how numb I would let myself get. It was cold (4 degrees C or 40F), windy, drizzly, and traffic just would not move. As the video progresses, notice how the top of the bus goes from completely full to nearly empty as everyone heads downstairs into the warmth of the bus. Despite the conditions, seeing the light displays and London at Christmas time was amazing, and our tour guide was in a great mood and had so many fascinating and funny things to say the entire three hours. He was a real champ. The tour starts out by Hyde Park as we pass by the Winter Wonderland amusement park event thingy. We turned down Oxford Street and passed by places like Selfridges department store, John Lewis with its massive building-sized Christmas display of a venus flytrap (???), and then down Regent Street where we get a peek at the iconic Liberty of London department store down a side street, Hamley's Toy Store (with the dancing people out front), then along that neat curvy-bit of Regent Street that leads to Piccadilly Circus, and then over to Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall before turning the corner where we were under Big Ben (Elizabeth Tower) and went over the Westminster Bridge with a great view of the London Eye lit up at night. We went past Waterloo station and went over the Thames on the Waterloo Bridge and turned left on the Strand, past the Savoy and back to Trafalgar Square again and down Piccadilly where we went past Waterstones Book Store. Just before the end, we drove past the amazing front of Fortnum & Mason that is decorated so the entire front of their building is a giant advent calendar. The tour ended at The Ritz Hotel by Green Park. If this is your first time to our channel, we are New England Ambiance. We make videos that show the beauty around the New England area of the United States - mostly in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. We have been pretty successful at uploading a new video every other day; either of a drive through beautiful New England towns, walks around historic villages, or just ASMR-ish videos of a nice nature scene. In December of 2023, we traveled to London and Paris and recorded a few videos while there, which you can find on our channel. Thank you so much for watching! We really appreciate you. Please give the video a like and subscribe - it realllllly helps tiny YouTubers like us. Thank you and merry Christmas!
