The Beginning | Pixel to Polygon #1

In the mid 90's technology had improved to the point where games in the third-dimension were starting to come out regularly on home consoles. With games like Virtua Fighter and Starfox being early examples from that decade that set a precedent for what was to come. In this episode I take a brief look back at the early days of 3D gaming, and start to examine some of the more important and noteworthy titles from that era. Throughout this series I will be analyzing and dissecting some of the more influential titles of the early 3D era in an attempt to understand their impact and relevancy in the gaming world, as well as an understanding of their mechanics, and game-play. This video is the first part in a series of analysis videos on games called Pixel to Polygon. I will continue to make videos for the series into the future.
