Both cameras were setup fully automatic with basic basic color profiles, no flat gamma stuff that needs grading etc. This particular video is typically how someone would use either the Hero 8 or the Action for vlogging or simply using them to film your day to day activities. The video and tests will also help you hear the difference with the internal mics of both cameras for vlogging etc. As the cameras are side by side you should also get a good idea of how each responds and compares for exposure, skin tones, color in general and stability. You should also get a good idea of field of view for both, especially for vlogging. The GoPro was set to linear and the Action had de-warp on, this helps to give a more traditional FOV compared to the usual fish eye or barrelled look of an Action Camera.
