Kladenets (Traces Of The Cult) is the third album by artist Sadko, named after the legendary sword. The sword is only given to a hero who can wield it. "Мечом-Кладенцом" (Sword-Kladenets) was called the swords of several heroes from Russian folklore. They could be magical and give the owner invincibility. Usually they fell into the hands of the owner from some hiding place. The album was also influenced by Russian poetry, and half of the album's tracks use poems by poets: Apollo Grigoriev - (the ancient God is still alive) and Konstantin Balmont - ("Gigantic mountains "and"the Awakening of Perun"). This album is more dark and tragic than its predecessors. Go with this music on a journey along ancient paths! I also want to add a review of the album as from my own person. Sadko's project began in 2017 as instrumental / ambient music with the predominance of the "winged gusli" sound. On the album "Kladenets" as an artist, I decided not to set a framework for myself. Of course, first of all it is neo-folk music, whose roots are inspired by Slavic and Russian culture! But also, here I let the influence of Black Metal music sound, or rather its aesthetics, which remained with me for many years of working in Devilgroth, but did it in Acoustic processing. In addition, there are other bold experiments on the album. This is probably the first time I've allowed a musical experience to be heard on an album in my entire life! Some people hear so different music here from pagan Neofolk to Darkwave! At the same time, it is already difficult to determine the specific direction of this music, it just sounds like I feel in my soul and how I see the world... I hope this music will inspire not only those who live in the Slavic spirit, but also the Northern souls of the Vikings and any other travelers who are close in spirit :) I am happy to welcome here any traveler in whose soul this music finds a response.
