And yet, the graphics are a bit… blocky. It seem like a strange choice for such a popular game to make when graphics have become so amazing in recent years. However, it turns out that there is an interesting reason as to why Minecraft has such a distinct style, and it all comes down to the voxel. In the world of 3-D modeling, the voxel was decisively defeated by the polygon.
