This provides for an opportunity for faster treatment of the animal and a good dialogue with the owner on how an infection is developing and if the patient is responding to treatment. Performs a double quantitative fibrinogen determination with high precision. Determine increase in fibrinogen concentration to asses inflammation, often before clinical evidence of the disease. Extreme dynamic range from below 1 g/L to 20 g/L eliminates re-testing due to out of range and allows for testing of foals with high fibrinogen levels. Decrease in fibrinogen concentration may indicate potential bleeding and/or liver problem. Test time on normal sample is less than 15 minutes.
