Electroforming Insects- Part 1 - Pin, Seal & Paint - Found Dragonfly

*I do not purchase insects and never catch or kill any specimens used in my art. Anything used is found in the wild already passed away.* With that said, I want to share a short video explaining my process of taking a found dragonfly and turning it into a beautiful copper pendant. Through the process of electroforming, I am able to take organic objects and preserve them with metal. Follow the journey of this dragonfly as it is reborn into a unique piece of wearable art. This is only part 1 and it does not discuss the technical process of electroforming but it does offer a glimpse of the proper way to pin, seal and paint the specimen in preparation for electroforming.
