Her success was recognized in 1986 when she received the AVN Award for Best New Starlet. However, despite her rapid rise to fame, Angel’s career was as fleeting as it was bright. In 1986, after achieving a level of success that others could only dream of, she stepped away from the industry. She transitioned into a new career, working as a makeup artist in a Beverly Hills department store. Yet, like many stars, Angel eventually returned. In 1988, she signed an exclusive contract with Intropics Video, starring in four films—Angel’s Back, Angel Rising, The Lost Angel, and Angel of the Island—all centered on her return. She also had a minor role in the TV series Windmills of the Gods in 1988. However, her comeback never quite captured the magic of her early years. While her name still carried weight, her on-screen enthusiasm had waned. By 1991, after several attempts to regain her previous stature, Angel retired from the industry for good. Rumors swirled online that her military boyfriend had persuaded her to leave. She made one last appearance in 1994 in Ariana’s Dirty Dances, but it was a quiet return, far from the heights of her earlier career.
