Make soda bottle wine--cheap and easy!

Learn how to ferment your own fruit wine using old 2 or 3L soda bottles. This is my method using the least amount of specialty materials that produces the best possible fruit wine. Come taste our wines at Centro PUMA in Altagracia on Ometepe island! The basic recipe used here is 900ml of sour orange juice, 1.5L of sugar, 1+1 tsp of Fermax yeast nutrient, enough water to make about 4.5L total, and a half packet of Red Star Premiere Blanc Champagne yeast. I adjusted the water level with a hydrometer to reach 14% potential ABV. Without a hydrometer and professional yeast you can experiment with your recipes and adjust based on flavor and sugar/acid balance after fermentation (make one batch that ends up too sweet and make another that ends up too dry or sour, then mix the wines afterwards to balance).
