The UNBOXING of this 1979 YAMAHA SG1000 nearly left me in tears! At the time I was not convinced that I could resurrect this vintage Japanese instrument. The SG 1000 was one of two double cutaway electric guitars produced by Yamaha in Japan from 1976 onwards, and features a solid mahogany body & neck with a maple top and ebony fretboard. The body is fitted with a pair of vintage voiced alnico humbuckers, and the guitar is finished with pearl fretboard inlays and headstock logo.
