Awesome Product - Easy Setup - Customer Service may be a question We hired Coda Sound in Tampa to setup an SL100 Mobile Stage for our event. The Soul Circus Cowboys were playing at our event and they required a stage that was at least 16'x20', and this was the perfect way to setup a stage in the parking lot where a Cinco De Mayo celebration was to commence. Coda Sound offers a wide array of backline equipment and mobile stages. We have used products similar to what they offer during several events in St. Petersburg's Vinoy Park and in various places throughout Pinellas County over the years. I can say from experience that renting a mobile stage for an event will make life much simpler. They setup and tear down quickly. Sound companies love them and bands enjoy playing on them. Everyone at Coda Sound was very nice and helpful - all the way up til the day of setup. The only complaint I have would be this: When we contacted Coda Sound to make use of a mobile stage, we explained that Soul Circus Cowboys were going to be performing. They told us that Soul Circus Cowboys had played on their stages before and that they could accommodate us, because Soul Circus Cowboys have a set of requirements that they want if they are to play for your event. We were told by Coda Sound that their SL-100 Stage, which is 16' x 20' would be fine for there needs, and it was. Coda came out and spoke with us - we went over the details - and I was specifically told that this setup would include and 8' x 8' drum riser because I specifically mentioned that it is in the bands contract. So, contracts were signed - deposits were given and all was good - until... The morning of the event, Coda arrived on time to set the stage up. They did an awesome job, and they are really good at what they do. But when the stage was completed, there was no Drum Riser. Although a Drum Riser is not a deal killer - it is something I asked about and was told we would have because the band wanted it. I asked Alex, the owner who was one of the people setting up - where is the drum riser. He kinda chuckled and said, "no one told him about any drum riser". And that was it. My concern was dismissed. He didn't ask if I was supposed to have one. He didn't even say he would call and see about it. He just turned and walked away. About 10 minutes later, the office called me from Coda Sound and asked if everything looked ok. I said yes, it looks awesome and I asked her about the drum riser. Now I was told that a drum riser was not included with this setup. I was kinda speechless. All that I started thinking about was the band was going to be upset that they did not get what they asked for. Not what I wanted to hear on the morning of the event. Again, however - my concern about the drum riser fell on deaf ears because there was no mention to rectify the situation - no mention to get one out to us... nothing. So - A long story short - no drum riser. So, I guess if my only complaint of Coda Sound is about a missing drum riser - and that my concerns about it were taken very lightly - I guess all is well. The drummer was not thrilled that we did not have a drum riser - but the show went on. As many people know, if they have read my reviews or watched the many video reviews I have produced - I am big on Southern Hospitality.
