Here's one thing you definitely don't want to do. Don't fall into the trap of thinking you have to be the loudest, jokiest, funniest guy in a group. There's name for the guy whois the class clown. Oh what do we call him? Obnoxious. We call it obnoxious. Sure you might be getting attention, but it's not necessarily the right kind of attention, not the attention you want. Here's the thing. When I was in middle school, the hottest guy in the class was also the class clown. While every girl wanted him, no girl really wanted to date him or get close to him, because we kind of thought that if he was making fun of this kid and that teacher and this and that, eventually, he'd probably make fun of us too. And nobody wanted to get that close to somebody who they think is just going to turn around and mock them. So the moral of that story is to be sweet, be a little bit subtle. You don't have to go out of the way in making grand gestures to get girls to notice you. Trust me, they are. But if you have your eye on a particular young lady in mind, make sure you do two things. Make eye contact. I mean, don't drill a hole through her but just when you pass though the hall, look at her in the eye and smile. It's important that you smile, otherwise she might think that you are making some sort of veiled threat. And also, compliment her. Try to strike up a conversation. A simple, "I really like your dress, it looks good on you," will blow her away. Blow her away. Very easy, but surprising affective. Good luck.
