Lakeland College's sustainable energy program is suitable for a wide variety of students including: professionals in the traditional energy industry looking to transition by learning new skills. journeyperson electricians, plumbers and carpenters looking to add to their skill sets. facility planners, managers and underwriters. Available as a diploma, certificate and new for 2022, microcredentials. All formats offer flexibility with online delivery, full or part-time study with optional on-site practicum. You always have the option to ladder up from microcredential to certificate to diploma with transferable credits. The first of four microcredentials started in January 2022. Solar PV, bio energy and biofuel, energy exchange and energy audit. Each microcredential stream is online and can be completed in a few months. We are a registered training provider for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
