Magic FM was an incredibly popular UK Garage pirate radio station that broadcast to London and its suburbs during 1996-2001 from Hackney, in East London. It showcased some of the best talent from inner London. The station ran many successful UK Garage club nights, Magic 1st Birthday Bash @The Powerhouse (Stratford) on Fri 19th Sept 1997, Suss @Harlequins, in Ilford, (east London), Expressions @Club Space (Startford), Expressions @SW1 Club (Victoria), Ice Cream Friday @Vivid & Elite Nightclub (Romford). They also held the battle of the stations clash @The Temple (formerly known as Club UN), High Rd Tottenham, co-organised by Pure Magic FM 90.2 and Deja Vu FM 92.3. It saw the DJs and MCs go head to head in sound clash which was familiar with the Sound System scene and London's Jamaican and Afro-Caribbean community. Also running successful nights with Freek FM 101.8 Suss & Freek'N You @Vivid & Elite Nightclub Romford. In 2000, they co-organised "Judgement Night presents Freek, Pure Magic and Flight" @The Stratford Rex, on Sat 29th Jan 2000. They also did nights with Colin MacMilan's "4 Play" @Legends Nightclub (Barking).
