But with that new design comes a new front firing speaker configuration. This upgrade does bring clearer highs and better bass. It is definitely an improvement on the Echo Dot 3rd generation. It also sounds more balanced than the Nest mini. This Echo dot becomes more useful with the Clock that will show you the time, timers, temperature, volume and alarms.
