The Song of Moses [Part One] Deuteronomy 32:1-5 (ESV)

THE SONG OF MOSES [Part One] Deuteronomy 32:1-5 Scripture Song for Meditation & Memorization Solo Piano & Voice by Charles Ciepiel English Standard Version (ESV) 1 Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, And let the earth hear The words of my mouth. 2 May my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, Like gentle rain upon the tender grass, And like showers upon the herb. 3 For I will proclaim the name of Yahweh; Ascribe greatness to our God! 4 The Rock, His work is perfect, For all His ways are justice. O The Rock, His work is perfect, For all His ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, And without iniquity, Just and upright is He. 5 They have dealt corruptly with Him; They are no longer His children Because they are blemished; They are a crooked And twisted generation. (chorus) But the Rock, His work is perfect, For all His ways are justice. O the Rock, His work is perfect, For all His ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, Without iniquity, Just and upright is He. Just and upright is He. Just and upright is He. I thought it was so cool that God instructed Moses to write a song! And not just any song, but one that would be remembered for generations. As soon as I read it, I thought, “I'm going to try to put this to music,” just to get it into my heart. My son Josiah and I have had many conversations about Moses over the years. This Moses was no slouch, or primitive man! He was trained at the highest level of education of his time as a prince of Egypt. And then he led Israel for years and years, through the wilderness. And not to mention, the presence of God, and word of the Lord with him daily. Hope this attempt helps you meditate on the word! And the LORD said to Moses, “Now therefore write this song and teach it to the people of Israel. Put it in their mouths...” (Deut. 31:19a) #DevotionalontheWord #TheSongofMoses #ScriptureSong
