Chair Peak towers over the popular Snow Lake near Snoqualmie Pass but exists in its own world of rock and ice. Hidden below its northern face are massive, glacier-polished rock slab channels strewn with boulders. Melting ice and snow fill tarns in this surreal, tundra-like landscape. There are no trails in this backcountry paradise, and only a few technical climber-scrambler routes exist.
