In this video, I talk about why people tend to do business with multiple companies, and how you can cultivate consumer loyalty. There are some businesses that I just love to support. It’s a pleasure to give them money for a good product, a good service, or a good experience. But most businesses don’t fall into this category. I only feel motivated to support a company if I feel truly served in some way. I need to feel that I’ve received value. What are you going to offer your customers that will make them want to come back? What are you doing to improve customer satisfaction? If you want more referrals, don’t just focus on creating a satisfied customer, focus on creating a delighted customer. That’s the key to consumer loyalty. After all, only delighted customers will give referrals. This is backed up by research. Studies show that 68% of the reason why people will leave one company to go with another, is something known as “perceived indifference.” Perceived indifference is the feeling that customers are left with when a company doesn’t show that it cares about whether or not the customer buys their product or service. But you can avoid losing customers by creating a positive customer experience that leaves people feeling that their wants and needs are being addressed. If you can improve customer satisfaction, your consumer loyalty will greatly increase, resulting in more sales. Don’t forget that your business depends on the customer.
